Korean BBQ Marinade

Give your Wagyu a little Asian flare with this Korean BBQ Marinade! The rich flavor of traditional Korean barbecue enhances the natural, buttery taste found in Wagyu – resulting in a delicious creation everyone is sure to love.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (toasted)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 2-3 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1-2 scallions (chopped)
  • 1 ½ tsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (packed)
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh Asian pear juice or puree (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil and seeds, garlic, scallions, ginger, brown sugar, ground black pepper, and pear juice into a small bowl. Mix well.
  2. Use sauce to marinate Korean Style Ribs or your favorite cut. Place in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and coat evenly.
  3. Marinate for at least 2 hours, or up to a day, turning at least once.
